Have Yancy At Your Church

Yancy travels to churches and does family concerts or special events for preteen and elementary kids. She can even do preschool stuff too. If you’re looking for a great event to bring families together and give them an opportunity to worship a Yancy event is perfect. This fall she’ll be in a few areas and has some open dates. If one of these are in your area you should consider it cause it’s a great time to SAVE big on expenses since she’s already in your area. Here are the open dates:

St. Louis area October 23
Orlando area November 6
Louisville area November 13

If you’re interested in one of these dates contact Scott Smith (615) 794-5763 x5 scott@behindthevoice.com right away.

Blast From The Past

I’ve been making music and touring for almost 14 years. That’s a long time :) and along the way life intersects with some of those precious people who heard me sing as a kid, teen or early in my career. Last night was no exception. I did a family event at Christ Fellowship in Palm Gardens, FL. I did a concert or two there in probably 1998 or 1999….some of the same staff members are still at the church. A lady came up to me and said “when I was in middle school you came and did a concert here. I bought the CD then and I’m buying it tonight too.” This woman is now 25, married with 2 kids. Her kids experienced the family concert last night. As she walked away and I teared up I was reminded life is full of journeys and circles. I am blessed beyond words to make music and be able to share that music with others. When my life intersects with these blast from the past it’s like little postcards to remind me of where I’ve been and where God has me now. A wonderful reminder to journey on serving God and loving others.

Dale Hudson is the children’s pastor at Christ Fellowship. I knew him way back when he was at FBC Springdale, AR. He was one of the first people ever to have me do a concert for their preteen group. He and his family went to my wedding. We’ve stay in touch over the years and I’m so glad.

Never take for granted the relationships in your life. Wherever you are today and whatever you do choose to love God and serve Him with all your heart. You never know when you might come across someone who knew you when and you showed them God’s love through your life.

I am blessed and extremely grateful!
Always,

Yancy

My Heart Is Full

antsy_bella

My heart is full. I had a great weekend out on the road. I went to 3 different churches that all had staff members I’ve known for a very long time. It was so great to see familiar faces even if some I had not seen in years. I did a couple family concerts, a college event and a preschool concert. Here’s a picture of me and Bella. A three year old that just might be the biggest Yancy fan ever. She requested from her parents Yancy, or “Ancy” as she pronounces it, pajamas and bedding. Wow, that’s serious! It was so fun to sing and worship with people of all ages our amazing Creator. I truly have the best job ever.

Today was an exciting day as I met with the sales staff of Word Distribution. They are the ones who put my “Have A Fancy Yancy Christmas” CD in stores. Please go to your local Christian retailer requesting and looking for the CD. Also, my song “The Greatest Gift” is at radio now. Please support it. Call your local radio station requesting “The Greatest Gift”. I’ll have some TV appearances in December. I’m so excited to share and perform the songs. I’ll keep you posted on the details as it gets closer.

Have a wonderful fall day. Enjoy the bright colors of the leaves…..falling!

My Merry-Go-Round Life

Hello everyone.
I’ve had a fun couple weeks. It’s been busy. I went out to sunny, warm California a couple weekends ago. As so many places have dropping temperatures it was fun to be in the sun. I got to be a part of Church 212′s anniversary weekend. They were celebrating the church’s first birthday. It was so fun celebrating with the people and staff this milestone in their history. If you’re ever in the area go check them out there in Palm Desert, CA.

Next we celebrated my husband’s birthday. Yes, Cory turned the big 3-0. Don’t worry he’s handling it pretty well. He just rubs it in that he’s older and wiser than me now :-) .

Last weekend I went up to the total opposite of sunny and warm. I went north to Grand Rapids, MI. It was the second tour stop on the SuperStart tour for preteens. It was a great two days there. It was also fun to stop by the Family Christian Store offices and meet with their music staff. I got to meet them, they got to meet me. I appreciate their support of “Have A Fancy Yancy Christmas”. Speaking of, I was so excited to see it’s available through a ton of mainstream outlets online like: amazon.com, bestbuy.com, target.com, barnesandnoble.com, borders.com I mean basically you pick your favorite store and ta da….there it is. I appreciate so much the nice messages on facebook, twitter and emails I’ve received of people enjoying the Christmas music.

On Tuesday of this week I was so blessed to be a part of the Orange Tour stop right here in Franklin, TN at The People’s Church. What a blessing to be with Reggie Joiner, Sue Miller and the wonderful reThink staff. I love what they do. They are champions for relevant ways to communicate to kids and students the love of Jesus.

I’m headed to Mobile, AL tomorrow to two wonderful churches. Both have staffs that I’ve know personally all or most of my life. So excited about being with great friends and meeting a ton of families. I know we’ll have an amazing time singing and praising together.

Alot of really neat, fun things are coming up in my world. I’ll continue to update you over the next few weeks on all the scoop. Thanks for your love and support and your prayers. I couldn’t do what I do with out each of you. Be blessed and remember “He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it.” Go dream and run your race like never before. The finish line has an amazing reward!
