Merry CHRISTmas

OK so I know my last post included pictures at the pumpkin patch….and I know that we haven’t even made it to Thanksgiving yet. But, still I’m excited because today at my local Target I walked in to a Christmas wonderland. It surprised me at first and then I remembered oh yeah, Halloween is over (YES!) so we do get the Christmas items. As a huge fan of Christmas (which if you’ve been reading for long you know this already) I love it all and really I love it any time of year. I don’t have to wait to put my tree up post-Thanksgiving. Today, as I walked in to Target I realized in multiple places their holiday signage said two words that have been missing from a lot of retail establishments “Merry Christmas”. Yes! I love it. No more “Happy Holidays”, it’s all about what the season is all about and that is Jesus Christ, born to us, the Savior of the world. I’m sure I’ll have many more posts about Christmas in the next two months but I think this is a win for us Christ followers. Don’t you agree? Merry Christmas!

Black Friday The After Thanksgiving Party

As most of you know by now I love Christmas! In every way. I enjoy Thanksgiving especially the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. I wonder if I enjoy the parade so much cause there’s so many Christmas things in it? I think I may have just touched on something there……I had an amazing Thanksgiving and I hope yours was great too. I’m in Oklahoma right now visiting my husband’s family here so it was sad to be away from my family but I’m getting to see a few special friends so that makes it nice. I have been blessed tremendously. God is so good. He is constant and faithful. He heals the brokenhearted. He strengthens the weak. I am sitting here this morning very thankful for all God has given me.

Black Friday shopping is usually always on my list. I’m normally up and at it pretty early to make my Target and Best Buy stops (a couple of my favorites.) Last year I got to start early at midnight in fact because an outlet mall in Nashville “Opry Mills” opened at midnight. It’s genius, the rest of the world should follow suit. Staying up at midnight is easier than getting up at 4am :-) All that to say I know many of you are out shopping today. Be safe. Stay awake!
