The Importance of Friends

Last night I went to a birthday party for a friend. It was a great time of celebration filled with community, laughter and great conversations. It reminded me that God’s Word tell us in Proverbs 27:17: “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.”

Summer is a great time to invest in your relationships. Between no school and vacations hopefully you have a little extra time in your schedule the next couple months. Take this time to invest in your relationships. Have a cookout, go get ice cream, go swimming or get some exercise with a friend. We need people in our life that will help challenge us. At times that’s encouragement or support. Others it’s to point out places of weakness where we need to focus and grow.

I’ll be honest I can be a bit of a loner. I love to go out to eat by myself and have some quality alone time with just me. Although I realize and understand for certain personality types that alone time is needed but don’t become your own victim by being a loner all the time. Reach out and be a friend to those in your life (whether they’re related to you or not). Be kind and loving. Show yourself friendly. (Proverbs 18:24) Go laugh and have fun. You’ll walk away refreshed and more complete as you let iron sharpen iron in your life.

Back To Blogging

Hello, hello.

So I haven’t been the best about keeping you guys updated here on my blog. It’s time to ch-ch-ch-change that! I hope you’re doing well. I’ve been home alot the past couple months living life, cleaning closets and pantries plus writing and preparing to enter the studio. I’m in the studio now working on my next preteen focused CD and DVD. I’m planning for it to release in October. I’ll keep you posted on it as it continues to develop. I’m really excited about these 12 new songs. I hope you’ll love them just as much as I do. I’ll keep posting some updates here over the next month so be on the lookout for that.

It’s that time of year. Kids are getting out of school. Some graduating and some just ready for a summer of fun. I’m getting ready to head out on the road most of June and July to be a part of many camps, VBS weeks and special summer events. I’m excited to get back out there to see all of you. Check the tour page of my website for where I’ll be this summer.

I love you all. Thanks for your prayers and support. Don’t ever forget that God loves you and has an amazing plan for your life. God is for you! Romans 8:31.
